Applications
Tough Environments
Many products manufactured today are expected to perform for extended periods of time in harsh environments. To meet these demands, engineers and designers need adhesives that can withstand extreme temperatures, moisture, salt spray, chemicals, and solvents or UV radiation. Advanced Converting offers many products that succeed in these applications. Contact us for assistance in specifying a solution.Challenging Requirements
For any application: bonding, sealing, masking, EMI/RFI shielding, labeling, or friction control, Advanced Converting helps select the best performing materials and often tests products to meet or exceed application parameters. Peel strength tests to various substrates, temperature, and fuel resistance tests, thermal and abrasion durability profile tests, and impact/weight evaluations are all done in house. Advanced Converting helps make difficult assembly easier through thoughtful part design that takes into consideration component application methods and where applicable; sub-assembly of components using Nautilus dispense/apply equipment. If you have a challenging application, we have the capabilities and experience to provide solutions. Contact us today.Tight Tolerances
As many products, electronics, in particular, continue to get smaller, manufacturers are requiring components with tighter tolerances. At Advanced Converting we use state of the art equipment and precision machined dies to produce parts with tolerances as tight as +/- .005" or less depending on the material. Our staff is experienced in tool design and product specifications to meet these tight tolerance requirements. Call us to discuss your part’s tolerance requirements.Bonding
Mating two or more substrates together is a common application that manufacturers have needed to
solve for many years. Mechanical fasteners such as rivets and nuts and bolts used to be the go-to
solution. Today, conformable foam tapes and adhesive transfer tapes are replacing mechanical
fasteners due to advantages created by their viscoelasticity. Advanced Converting can die-cut these
tapes to fit virtually any size or shape. To learn more about the advantages of adhesive tapes in bonding applications, please contact our design experts to discuss your specific application.
Masking / Protecting
Adhesive backed paper and film tapes are great for masking areas that need to be protected during
painting, plating or wave soldering processes. Polished metal finishes, painted surfaces, and glass LED
screens all can be protected with custom die-cut film tapes. Advanced Converting supplies masking
materials with low tack adhesives for easy and clean removal in both standard and custom sizes.
Materials are available in slit rolls and die-cut shapes. Learn more about our masking and protection
products by contacting us today.
Filtering
Advanced Converting supplies filter media for both air and liquid applications. Foam, fiberglass and
synthetic materials of varying densities and thicknesses can be converted to custom shapes or sizes per customer requirements. Learn more about filter materials available from Advanced Converting by

EMI / RFI Shielding
Protecting sensitive electronic components from electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio
frequency interference (RFI) requires materials to block or absorb dangerous waves. Advanced
Converting die-cuts elastomers, conductive foams, adhesives, and foils to be used in these types of
applications. If you are designing or manufacturing an electronic device that requires EMI or RFI
protection, please contact us for assistance.
